Old Town Square

Old Town Square

20 min by public transport

Old Town Square is the real heart of Prague. Come to its historic place of the XIIth century - the witness of many epic events to feel its beat. Even the pavement here is a sight - it marks the Prague meridian and contains the memorial stones of 27 executed Czech lords in 1621. The square has numerous buildings and monuments: the Gothic Church of Our Lady before Týn, the Old Town Hall with medieval astronomical clock, Rococo Kinský Palace, the Baroque St. Nicholas Church and the statue of Jan Hus. The square is the place of Christmas and Easter markets, that resemble medieval markets.
